Plus Peace 119

With the recent rise in police brutality, many Americans don’t feel safe interacting with officers alone. With this in mind, we developed the idea for 119, an app that helps introduce a third party mediator in threatening police situations. Volunteers are ready to receive video calls through the app to help talk you through your rights, record the interaction, and in the worst case scenario arrive on the location to intervene. It’s imperative that we promote safe interactions between civilians and law enforcement, and 119 serves as a starting point for that conversation.
